Six Militants Killed in Joint CTD and Police Operation in Kohat’s Lachi Area

Kohat: Six militants were killed during a joint operation conducted by police and the Counter Terrorism Department in the Lachi area of Kohat.

According to District Police Officer Shehbaz Elahi, the operation was launched after authorities received intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the area.

Police officials said that when security personnel reached the location, the militants opened fire, triggering a gun battle between the two sides.

During the exchange of fire, six militants were killed while security forces successfully secured the area.

Authorities also recovered a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition from the militants during the operation.

Officials stated that a search operation is still underway in the surrounding areas to ensure that no militants remain hidden.

It is worth noting that a day earlier, security forces also carried out an operation in Lakki Marwat, where six militants were killed in a separate action.
